Thought I put my paws on my blog once in a while. Hey guys. Sorry for not updating that frequently although many things have happened these past weeks.

First of all, I'd like to mention (again) that I am going to Melbourne from the 24th June to 3rd July and I wanna meet up with all my ex-M2 mates, Aik Bros, Shien Han, and many many more!!!!! I will be staying over at Aik Sern's place till 26/27 June then move out and stay with MASCA games people as a supporter!!! YAY!!

Yesterday was a fun day for me and my dance team. We performed at Fenner Hall's multicultural event and was pleased to note that our Asmaradana was better than the Malam Kenduri version.

Phew.

Talk about redemption.

After that, it was feasting on Sri Lankan Tamil food! OMGOSH!!! It was sooooo delicious. that I took two big servings of Curry and more Curry! Serious Curry overdose I tell you! It was sooo amazing and it was a highlight of the whole show. =D

Bout life in Canberra, well I am going to finish the beginner's class for salsa soon. Sob Sob. Had so much fun in the class, and yes, I am still considering whether to continue on.

Last Sunday was Afiq's birthday, and we indeed surprised him with White Choc Mud Cake and lots and lots of junk food! Then, as usual we played Mafia and Marie Antonneite.

Pictures will be uploaded soon hopefully, because right now I am busy preparing for my finals, coming in 2 weeks!!!! AHHH!! terrible feeling but hopefully able to redeem my mid sems mistakes..

Malam Kenduri was the BOMB!!!! At first it was so stressing, and people were panicking but in the end, everything was superb!

First major issue we had to face were the pants. I sewed my own pants! yay! Instructions included needles, thread, American Idol and whole lot of patience. It is in my genes that I do not sew well, however, the pants did NOT rip during performance! OMGosh!!!

Then it was my singing. Rehearsal sucked because the PA system sucked.

But anyway...12th May 2007 was the night to remember....

The theme of the night was Mix and Mismatch, that you can mix your clothes till its so bad, its gooD! =D The Emcees were Afiq and Grace!

Then out of the blue, it was our turn to do the opening act! We had not even said the dancers prayer yet! 'jeng jeng jeng'

We gave our best and Asmaradana choreographed by Wei Ling was good.

When the Tamil song came alive, everybody was cheering for all 14 of us.

I choreographed the girl's part and Maha did the guys part.

Of course, the guys had the crowd screaming with their goofy and cute antics!

Then they annouced the best dressed people...

A fellow friend of mine, Lemi won the guys category! He dressed everything in the opposite way, and wore his pants the opposite side too...

After the fashion parade, Me, Sanje and Anwar, the three finalists for MSO Idol, went up to the stage and performed Delta Goodrem's Together We Are One.

Technical errors were plenty and to be honest, we never did practise together the three of us. Haha! talk about spontaneity.

And then I went to change my costume for my solo performance...

With an MJ top hat, and 3/4 white sleeve with gothic blouse inside and slacks...

Drama was good too. Except sometimes we couldn't really hear the recordings. One thing's for sure, Afiq, Akram and Zam ROCKED!!! they were the best demons I've seen in my whole entire life! =D

Anwar was the first to sing among three of the finalists. His rendition of When She Say She Loves Me with him playing the guitar was superb!

Then, it was time for my solo performance! The song i sang was Hey Big Spender!

I went up and did the best I could, realized that people actually like it, so I played along, and be cheeky and nasty as possible.

Shake here and shake there.. point here...take off the hat...and strut...lalala...

There was this table full with guys, and they were pointing at this fella, so I spontaneously played along, and pointed at him and sang to him. haha! It was really fun being on stage again and singing in front of a large crowd...

Then, it was Sanje's turn to sing. His strong vocals carried the song Crazy Little Thing Called Love well. It was a tough competition and I really really did not know whether I had a shot at that.

After that, it was raffle tickets time. Lyon went nuts and bought a lot of tickets for 50cents each. It did pay off because he won a Greater Union movie ticket voucher, Iori Jap voucher worth Aud$ 20 and also a Acton Hair Studio voucher worth Aud$ 60!

Then it was time to find out who is the first MSO Idol ever. 1st runner up was Sanje and there left me and Anwar.

Then Afiq announced the winner's name and I could not believe it..

it was mine!

I was in shock because I never expected to win Idol...

however you wanna believe me.. I am SERIOUS!

I was freaking out before my performance and my dear darlings had to comfort me...

I had to perform an encore, without music, sadly, I went off key at one point! HAHA!!! so humiliating!!!

Nevertheless, I had so much fun!

After that, we helped in cleaning up the place and went to B&G to wash dishes...

Came back late and tired....

So what exactly I've won you wonder...

I've won the best gift in the year so far, a fulfilling experience, and a lovely time with all my new found friends...

One last camwhoring before the night ends....

physically though, I've won the new iPod Shuffle!!! in Silver!! =D

ironically, I left my old Shuffle back in Malaysia... which i also won in High School Prom...

Now, I feel tired after finishing and handing in my two assignments but yet estatic thinking about that night.

Thought I'd just drop by since I am using library's wireless...

These past weeks have been busy busy busy!

Hopefully everything will pay off in the end.

For starters, this coming Saturday will be the annual Malam Kenduri for Malaysian Students Organization, and I'll be performing traditional/modern Malay and Indian dance. Also that night, there will be the MSO Idol 2007 competition, and guess who's in the final 3? =DD

I'm so nervous, because I've chosen my song, but afraid that it is too risky. Too jazzy.
Too dodgy?

Haha! Wanna know the song leh???? Don't tell you! =)

Aiyah, damn scared wei...

Practised like crap samo...

my Hongkie housemate also bored of me singing the same song everyday...

On a side note, I mentioned Lyon is going to represent ACT for basketball in the MASCA games in Melbourne right?

haha! Thank nationality.

He lost two games but yet got chosen for the role.

And trip is subsidised too.

So it's official, I'll definitely be in Melbourne from 30th June to 2nd July, just not sure how long I will stay there...

Black Mountain

On the very bright 18th April, I received a call from Theng Shan while walking back with Lyon and Daniel from Supabarn. It was 3pm...

'Let's climb Black Mountain at 4pm.'

'Err...ok?'

...................

With no preparation, and proper warm up, we, out of the blue, decided to climb the famous mountain behind ANU.
