| What Nots |
OMGOSHHHH! I STARTED CLASS TODAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*sob sob*
For those who don't know, I'm doing the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies at the ANU and I have like 3 difficult Stats sub to do this semester and one Finance! *shrugs*
AND! I have MSO, ISD, Sign mentor, and gym commitments!
Woohoo~! So much to do, so little time!!!!!
Well at least the introduction of the subjects today weren't THAT boring. I like Stochastic Modelling and Regression Modelling and how it is presented SO FAR! The respective lecturers Prof. Steven Stern and Prof. Michael Martin (apparently the two Americans are best of friends) are pretty informative and humourous. =)
The one least challenging is Financial Mathematics (because of similarity to past Finance courses I've done) and it has a relatively babbling lecturer, Aaron Buhne.
Which is a good thing because I get to have good easy to listen to lecturers for the tough subjects and still can do decently without actually paying 100% attention to Financial Maths.
The fourth course I'm doing is Investments, I was only supposed to do this next year but I brought it forward so that I can relax more in the future. LOL. The lectures tomorrow so we shall see...
ON THE OTHER HAND...

=)I had to leave earlier because I had a ISD meeting at 7.30pm!!! =.= Came back and went supper with some of the peeps at Vysa Versa. Dang, I've been eating aLOT! Today morning at 11am we went for
Comedy in the Court! Brilliant turnout!
ex- ANU Matt!
The limelight Wil Anderson. Both of them are hilarious! But Wil had a better humour. Plus he's good looking too. =P My conclusion is that Aussie comedians love to use 'fuck' in every chance they can find. I don't know why. =S It's as if the term (parents would mind me stating THE word twice in one blogpost) was a conjunction or something.
Well that's it for now. Tonight will be going out to the first EVER ANU ball! So can't wait for that and the afterparty @ Moose. Gosh, I'm such a fan of Moose nowadays.

Wondering why I have blogged in the span of half a day? I just came back from the university. Had Market Day from 9am-3pm so yeah pretty roasted out in the end, PLUS I was wearing the BLACK MSO T shirt the whole time!! I had to jaga two booths, morning ISD and afternoon MSO. Was tiring, exhausted, hungry but I had massive fun talking to people. I love people!!! =) I'm in just a good mood to blog now but probably gonna get hard earned nappy time before possibly going to Toga party and later Academy. I should really ground myself when classes start...

| Little Footsteps |
Here's a part of the post I never finish on the 16th and some extensions for it. =)
After a frigging 21 hour of travelling, we finally finally arrived!!!! So happy to be safe and sound here. Now trying to nose around the common room to check out new students to befriend with. Teehee. There are bunch of new face angmoh guys playing texas hold-em now, hmm, I think I would be tooo forward if I suddenly ask if i could join them. Hehe. Unilodge is filled with Koreans now, massive amount everywhere. I guess the Malaysian domination last year paved away...
Hmm, they keep on speaking Korean within each other not sure whether should I intrude suddenly. I think I'll scare them away... maybe when Kevin's here, I can take advantage of the situation. Sorry lah, I seem like a bit desperate to make friends like that, but I'm really in the mood to do so! =) (Update on 19th Feb! yay! Met some really friendly Korean buddies! =P)
Anyway, did I know I had not much sleep ever since I arrived to Miri? Maybe I was nervous and yeah, it takes time for me to adjust to a new environment and all. So can you imagine what 21 hours of travelling and prior lack of sleep did to me?? Total HAVOC! Conjuctivitis-like eyes plastered on my face. Sometimes it alternates even, one minute the left eye is infected, the other the right eye is infected. Stoopid. Maybe I was dyhedrated too. But anyway, thank goodness I am still in one piece.
Ok, I have to stop ranting and show you some pictures I've taken!! =)
On 15th morning...
Dim Sum with Aunty Belinda and Veron. Dumb me forgot to take picture with them. =(
Hehe! Clint's gym card! So cute lahh he looked last time!!!!!!! *me wants to pinch his cute face

Sorta BaiNian to Yee Ping's white fortress. Chio bo? We headed to Brunei at 4pm. Stopped by this little Chinese Restaurant in Seria for dinner..

I'm such a food junkie. Thank you Uncle Cheu for the meal! =)
At the airport, Thank goodness I was thrifty this time and did not allow the airlines to earn bucks for overweight luggage. Hehe! 16th February
We arrived at Sydney approximately 10am local time on the 16th, got through customs and quarantines at around 11am, spent some quality time watching Significant Others. Haha! Took a Murrays bus at 1.30pm and reached Canberra at 4.30pm! Without (much packing) we straight away found Eu Gene and Amanda and headed to MultiCultural Festival!

SALSA NIGHT!!!
Muah!

Couple wearing couple shirts!
Fried Mussels! =)
My Mexican Meatballs.
Lyon's Tortillas. urgh I rotated this like hundred times but it won't budge. =(At night we had Vysa Versa for supper (which I didn't eat LOL and headed over to Afiq's place for some SINGSTAR! UNTIL BLOODY 2am!!!!! Yeah, I kong out in bed until 11am next morning..=P) 17th February
visited Ali Baba... and dang! They increased 60 cents for most foods! =(((
Then went over to Kevin's to get back our stuffs that we left in his place for the summer. Got Alex, Chua and Nick to drive Ernest's car to help carried our stuff back to UniLodge from Bruce. Thanks guys for your help! Met up with Arjun who came back at last! And we all had dinner at Happy's! Ashwin came along as well. =)
Arjun and Ashwin

Makes me salivate at this very moment people.
After that, we headed back wanting to have some quality poker time, but Ashwin and Mark (who just got back from Sydney that afternoon) said they wanted to watch Jumper. I thought, heck why not, since Sarah told me it was good movie on Facebook. =) We went to Dendy's and the only movie everyone hadn't watched was There Will Be Blood...So we proceeded... Lyon Mark and so on...
Muakz!Btw, half way to our dinner, Lyon and I realized that that day was our frigging 2nd Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We both totally forgot about it because we were so busy packing and stuff...=(( I guess V-Day sorta compensated a bit. Love you baby. =)18th February!!!!!!!! O WEEK LAUNCH PARTY~~~!!
Yeah, spot me in the orange with the big ass. =)
Afiq and me.
people queuing up for some carsinogen, ehem, grilled sausage. =P
Our man Afiq is the Treasurer of the Debate Club yo!I met up with some ex and current UniLodgians then suddenly I had this bright idea, and I persuaded Sanje to go dance with me for the Red Bull's So You Think You Can Dance - Dance Off which was on. And we did!

The stupid thing was everyone in the crowd knew the King of Bhangra Music and I were a pretty good team but the crew eliminated us on that basis. Lol.They said along these lines, no professionals because you guys would win bla bla. T.T We could have won a Sony Eriksson. Damn it. At 2pm, I had an ISD meeting, it was so good to see everyone back! muah! Ended at 4pm so we joined in the ANUSA Officewarming party~!

| 1st Hey from Canberra |
I actually started to write a blogpost on the 16th but got carried away and the only source of internet is the shitty wireless at the UniLodge common room or the ANU computers around campus (which is the option I'm using right now). So be patient! =) I hope I won't repeat last year's blunder by ignoring you blog completely. I was a bad parent! ><
I've taken quite alot of pictures and I would like to share them with you all but I just have got not much time now, moved truckloads of stuff from Kevin's, settling in my new accommodation, less bumming around these days and more socializing since it's O Week (Orientation Week) !!! Woohoo~! Tonight will be going to the Bright and Tight Big Night Out clubbing session. Can't wait.
Till then, see you all! Muakz! |

I will be providing updates on my whereabouts whenever I could...
Till then will be seeing you in another foreign place soon enough. =)

| Happy V Day! |
Told you I'll be back! I just have not the heart to leave so sudden...
(melodrama =P)
It has been a roller coaster ride. First of all, my official location is Miri, Malaysia (I arrived on 13th night) where I am now comfortably staying at the Cheu's residence. Second, as usual I was dramatic as hell. I told myself. NO! This time you're not a 1st year fool! You have done this before, walked this exact path... But emotionally striken me wouldn't listen! Ish! I have a very weak heart as you can see. So I cried all the way from saying goodbye to my family (it is still hard for me, at this publishing time, author is tearing) to boarding, oblivious to all the onlookers around me. Again on the plane as it took off and left my home. Coincidentally as I switched on my Ipod, the song Across the Universe by the Beatles was played. I muttered the words they proudly portray...
**NOTHING'S GONNA CHANGE MY WORLD**
Yes, I will be back soon and my family will still be there healthy and happy as ever. =) (Dad, if you read this, please send me the photos we took at the airport? Thank you.)
I arrived safely, and wanted to show Lyon some pictures on my camera...
Thought I've packed everything I need for Aussie, but NOOO!!! I just had to leave my CAMERA BATTERY AND CAMERA CHARGER BACK AT HOME. You see lah how stewpid and careless I was!??? So kan chiong suddenly. Like how would I live without my cameraaaaa for 9 months? I almost fainted...T.T
I quickly made some calls and Aunty Belinda had some friends from KL who are going to Miri before I fly off to Aussie...
So my dad had to send the items in a parcel to one of them to be brought back to me. Sigh. Tomorrow I will collect the items. I always appreciate my natural ability of being independent in doing things (I guess being the eldest of 4 children grooms that skill), but this time I have become a burden of many people due to my carelessness. Sheeshhh. So pissed at myself. So stupid. So darn blur. ><
Phew!
Lyon and I watched Good Luck Chuck then it was off to bed...
Valentine's day! Guess what dear Lyon had in store...
Hehe! A love-shaped kite!! More details later ;P My right eye was conjuctivitis-like for a while thanks to all the crying. No, seriously. He surprised me with another present, which is a jewelry organizer. Haha! He knows how I messily sort through my stuffs. LOL!
Lyon brought me to ParkCity Everly Hotel for lunch where a salmon promotion is going on...
The hotel's Melinau Restaurant... Lol in preparation for VDay's dinner I suppose... Then we headed out for some fresh air after ordering our meals...

Lyon knows my obsession with being next to the beach... Stop posing girl!!!!!!! Our entree. Lyon's Baked Salmon with Orange Glaze... and my Pan Friend Salmon with Asparagus! yumm... (Dad, I know you are salivating at this VERY moment!) We headed to Boulevard and Parkson to do some last minute shopping (cosmetics and what nots), after that, we went to Esplanade to fly Lyon's lovebite, ehem, I mean lovekite. =P
I wasn't posing emptily ok? Well sadly though, the logistics of the kite weren't actually there because Lyon built the kite based on his feeling. No knowledge whatsoever. So the kite, well let's say it was shortlived...
It had a hole in it after a while!!! =(( Rest in Peace, lovebite, Rest in Peace. Still I appreciate all the effort darling. Especially when you aren't much inclined to the artistic making of things. It was not a good kite I admit, but a pretty good looking kite indeed. =) I love you babe! Muah!Lyon had a premonition that things could go wrong, so he prepared a spare (bought for RM3) just in case... It did took us a lot of time to think about how to tie the kite and all that, but at the end when the kite worked, it was worth it. =)
Presenting the new kite! lookie!! Me and Lyon.

He's happy. Then I'm happy too! =) Beautiful almost sunset. =P
For tea. XD On a side note, I found out that PBSM Marching Team of my high school won third place in their Sport's Day (which coincides with Valentine's, duh, schoolkids are not expected by the staffs to celebrate)!!! Congrats you all!!!! And keep up the good work!! =)
After a quick bath and change of clothes, Lyon drove me to Marriott. For a special 3 course romantic candlelight dinner around the biggest pool in Miri while overlooking the majestic beach!! =)
Haha! Do I scare you? Flowers for the lady and gems to be stolen by the gentleman. LOL. Other couples joining us as well. =)
Entree...
His Chicken Caesar Salad Her Prawn Brisque stone. Main course... His Rib Eye Steak Her Lamb Funny thing is the Lamb should have looked like Beef and vice versa right??? At first we were confused. Lol. But taste proves it all. =)
Cute balloons! Lyon why didn't I act stoopid and grab one of those before we left? =( Dessert... The Lactose Intolerant boy holding a Lactose-full Blueberry Cheesecake. =P Chocolate Mud Cake. Ooo! Singers serenading the couples with evergreen love songs. =) <3 style="text-align: left;">The atmosphere was superb, nothing I ever imagine. Love the sound of the waves while enjoying my meal. Love how lights reflected against the pool. Love how romantic (and unromantic due to the mosquito bites I have attained during the course of the dinner) everything is babe. Muah!
 So romantic right? =)
Haha me and my gifts of chocolate truffles and a pink rose.
Just like the one we took at Shangrilla Hotel in 2006 right babe? =P Waittt..What was the present I gave to Lyon then? A Necklace with a Dragon engraved Pendant (since Lyon LOVES dragons) and a cute card. =) Cannot see properly hor??? Well that's the point right? Cannot reveal too much lah! It's personal. =) I hope that your day has been good too, coupled or not. till next time... |

| Goodbye Kuala Lumpur |

There. I've said it.
*whimpers
Will see you soon (possibly tomorrow since it's Valentine's day afterall and according to a certain someone, tomorrow's pretty blog-worthy...Haha killed the dramaticism in the eventual possibility of not returning back to this blog eh)
I have met many many wonderful old buddies and new friends which I have grown to love, so thank you for being such a huge factor in these 3 months. =)
To my family. Haha, now the house will be more peaceful without Winnie's ultra sharp voice and incessant (not-so-good) mimicing of singers. Mail me stuff yeah please please? Especially recordings of American Idol. =P Nevertheless, going to miss all 5 of you. This time, I hope I won't make a fool of myself by crying too much in the airport.
This is it ladies and gentlemen. My last time to bow out from Kuala Lumpur in 9 months. See you in some foreign place soon. Love you all my darlings!! xoxo |

| Bon Voyage to Myself |
Tomorrow's the day that I have not been anticipating since I came back to Malaysia for my summer holidays.
Tomorrow I'll be leaving Kuala Lumpur, the city I was born and bred...and only back in approximately 9 months!!!!!!
ARGH!
It is so surreal that the 3 months just pass like THAT! in one *click of the hands, in one *heartbeat. And tomorrow I would be leaving the comfort of home, the sweet aroma of my bed, my TV *gnaws, and oh beloved spicy food. Misshhh you!!! But lucky I'm bringing back some spices with me to last for few months. Better hope those Aussie quarantine officers would be so kind enough to let my zing pass through Australia...*crosses fingers
Most of all I'm going to miss my family and friends in Malaysia. Will be missing you guys for another 9 months, then I will be back in action in late Nov/Dec.
In that period, I'll try to be more technological inclined whilst I'm there. Means hopefully more chance to blog since UniLodge internet is 3cents per MB! and not leave this poor blog into state of doldrums (like I did last year =( ).
Most of my entries involve pictures of happenings and it takes time (and $$) to upload all the pictures PLUS have descriptions for them. Nevertheless, I will try to update whenever I can. =)
Can't say I promised for sure. =P
It would be a tad useless for me to do a review on my whole summer holidays because this blog has been revived based on just that! So if you are bored and have nothing better to do in this world than to read my crappy blog, go check out pass entries and feast your eyes. Mind you, it takes heck of a time... So be warned.
And! If I am bored and have nothing better to do in this world than to write on my crappy blog, I'd probably do a review someday. SOMEDAY. But that would probably make me more homesick than I am already am.
Ooo! Good revelation! How can I be homesick when I am already at home??? =(((
Darn. Sigh.
I think about it as I pack everything up now... |

| HAPPY Chinese New Year!!!! |
Move on to more anticipating mode. CHINESE NEW YEAR IS COMING!
I might sound like a little kid here, but you cannot imagine how deprived I am at the feeling of munching my favourite cookies (Dragon Biscuit) and to received (fat) angpows. I have justification for this okay! I never spend (proper) Chinese New Year last year, because international orientation week fell just before.
To prepare myself for the challenges of shoving countless cookies into my mouth, I have gymed 4 days in the row! Leaving space for them to sit comfortably in. =P Muahaha!
Will be away to Johor for 4 festive days. Playing cards with cousins, visit places, eat, playing firecrackers (illegally, nar just kidding), eat, shop, eat. Woohoo!
So...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE! GONG XI FA CHAI!!!!!! |

| Back to School~! |
Haha! This is a pretty unedited/random post. Woke up in an ungodly hour (8am T.T) today to go back to school. Yes, I traded the pleasures of a good sleep for a day where I wore pinafore and get immersed in the sweaty environment that is school all over again.
Nah, just kidding about the pinafore part. =)
while waiting so posed a bit larh! zzzzEllen, Jun Xuen, Shu Wen and I wanted to go back to school to 1: See the PBSM Marching Team kick ASS Ellen was last year's president and I was the Activity Coordinator 3 years back (woot! so long time ago). Tell you arh, in SMKDU right, PBSM Marching Team damn cool sia! (Certain parts are removed, to protect the interests of various parties and the welfare of the juniors of both societies. Author apologises for any unwanted misunderstanding because she genuinely did not intend to.) My brothers are in the marching team too. =) 2. Needed to collect long overdued English 1119 Cert from the office, in my case 3: Look for our beloved teachers!
The formation is pretty exciting...=P
OoooOoo...Sport's Day lands on February 14, and I'm not around KL anymore by then. So I went to give them my best wishes lor!
=) And what's that stupid building doing there?
The padang was so much smaller than what I remembered. So sad. =(
The R.O.O.M
Used to be a big empty space to roam about. Lol.
Woohoo! 5 Keledang of 2005 rox!
See the padang! So unappealing..sigh..
Juniors!
Along the corridors I once stepped foot on.
YUNG CHIEN! remember we used to do a rain dance here here with Sharon!! =P
Pn. Aun, ex Moral teacher! As you can see, I wasn't ready when my sis clicked the camera.
P O S E R S
Dearest Ph Cheng, our Mod Maths teacher and DarthNick's mommy. She still remembered me as the quai one always do homework wan. Love her cute antics when she teaches.
RECESS TIME! So we rushed to the canteen to get some (oily but) yummy food!

Haha they wanna feel like they are schoolgoers all over again, waiting to be picked up by parents. My bro James in the middle after marching practice.
My Ramli Burger Special. LOL!
Me and Jun Xuen.
Then the twins (who overslept), came!
for once Eddie looked better than me. Hehee! Im kiddin'. =P
Sern and me.
This is for you Wei Wen. Your bro Wei Li is seriously a photostat copy of you wei!
The (new) library...
Haha while collecting our certs. Then went to counselling room to find Pn. Catherine! She did not change one bit! =) Love you to bits!
*awww*
Then back to the room where we were... Extorting the sick patient, Chip. LOL.
Then headed to Prefects Room (illegally).. Chien Yee practising her debate.
Her supportive audience. =)LUNCH TIME! Went to Kinns (or Golden Kimwah) and Sun Mei came along to join us... OMGOSH now only I realised I didn't take a picture of my food (rojak)! What a milestone that is!
Sista power!
=)
On an ending note, for memory sake... the convenience store I always visit...
This bread shop too.My mom said the last time she went there, the place wasn't selling my favourite WholeMeal dough (I was watching my weight then) anymore. Guess there's no more customers like me to give them business. LOL! Overall the going back to school experience is pretty amazing actually. You will suddenly realise that certain physical things change however the people stays the same. Although everyone is busy stomping and conquerring the world, it is never bad to look back at those days, no matter how silly/ugly/stupid those days were, true enough there are some ugly times for me but anyway, that aside, you will see in a clearer view of how much you have grown in the process, how much knowledge you have attained. After all, the choices you make in life will determine how you live in the present and future. Treasure all that is good and not-so-good. Have a laugh at the end. It's worth it. =)

| Pick Up Lines |
In the age of technological advancement thanks to men's (i.e humans, not being sexist here, duh) left brain, the right brain however is not all wasted, left unused and thrown away. No no it's not! Romanticism is a complex, self-contradictory artistic, literary, and intellectual movement, I quoted Wiki. Now romanticism has revolutionised to the stage where men are (quite) expected to be romantic, though how practical and no-nonsence the particular XX chromosomes can be. Wouldn't any ladies secretly wish to be swept off their feet? Be gazed in the eyes and been whispered sweet nothings while being transported into the realm of love... *sigh*
Well, as far as romanticism is concerned, I believe one cannot be pushed to be romantic, that one must learn how to be romantic and it takes time! Romanticism grows on you, through references of books and rich literature (especially the works of the eminent Shakespeare). The romanticism ink will seap into your skin, thus you will only be labeled romantic.
For the sad sobs who fail to understand the nature of how romanticism works, thanks to these lads, the phrase pick up lines exist.
Well, naturally in my opinion, when one uses that phrase, they usually indicate the wrong side of things. So in conjuction to the upcoming Valentine's Day, I will provide you certain do's and dont's on how to win your ladies attention, and later on their heart. =) Get ready for a hell of a ride gentlemen (well and ladies too =P)!
I took most of the lines from this website (I write this to avoid being charged with plagarism), well I wouldn't be so knowledgable about this anyway, so I had get references. =)
CORNY AND CHEESY PICK UP LINES GIRLS (WHO ARE SIMILAR TO WINNIE) DO NOT APPRECIATE!
* ''Did it hurt? When you fell out of heaven? Well not that it's bad, but it's pretty overused and predictable.
* ''If I followed you home, would you keep me?'' My response would be ''No, but you can sleep on my lawn. It's freshly cut.''
* ''Hey...somebody farted. Let's get out of here.'' NO WAY IN THIS WORLD! Why do you mention the word 'fart' for first impressions ANYWAY???? T.T
* ''Your daddy must have been a baker, because you've got a nice set of buns.'' Winnie does her roundkick ''Hai Yah! Take that you dirty man!''
* ''I have only three months to live...'' Yeah, if you want a one night stand maybe. But long term no.
* ''Your daddy must play the trumpet, because he sure made me horny!'' No COMMENT.
Real Life Situations: * ''Hey we have the same phone! Oh wait, we don't. Mine's bla bla bla and yours blu blu blu. Anyway, my name is ____'' That's just dumb. FULL STOP.
PICK UP LINES THAT ARE POSITIVE ON MY RADAR! =P
* ''If you were a tear in my eye I would not cry for fear of losing you.'' Winnie *swoons*
* Wow. No mistake there.
* ''This time next year let’s be laughing together.'' Well not exactly a pick up line, but the dude here is keeping it real!
* ''You look familiar, I've seen you somewhere.'' Double edged sword but more good than evil. It's a pretty natural way to start a convo, but do you wanna insult her by saying she is a generic face?'' Think wisely before acting.
* ''What's your sign?'' Ditto. Natural way to start a convo.
My brotha, Chua's : ''I need a place to stay.. cause you're so hot you burnt my house down.'' Well pretty decent effort right? You be the judge. =)
Overall, I conclude that the best way to approach a girl is to show her your sincerely (and a good handshake), look into her eye, straight on and say:
''Hey I saw you across the room. My name is...''
Should be able to stall you some time before your mind whirls on what to say next to prevent the existence of awkward silence. =P
I rest my case. *bows out* |

| Back to Bedlam |
Be in my shoes now. How would you feel that in another 9 days you are about to leave the comfort and familiarity of home, and exchange with the oh-so grusome chaotic independent life that is in a place like Canberra, where (good) food are not easily accessable, and beautiful people are left behind, only to wish you bon voyage and all the best for the upcoming academic year?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Someone's got to drag me to the airport because I ain't ready to go yet! Although my summer has been a real blast, I still want more more more! I guess good things come to an end, and time passes by fast when you are having fun. =) I've been really blessed with all the things that have been happening and I wouldn't trade this summer for anything. =D Anyway, had a shopping day with Ellen @ One Utama today. I bought some long-sleeved clothes to be brought back to Canberra and did some house errants too! *Mama, Ellen and I very quai daughters right? ^^
