*Me dances around
Amanda, Eu Gene, Arjun, Shawn, Lyon and Wei Jun (if there are more people, I do apologise ><) got me something which I think is the biggest fashion faux pas!! Who needs designer shoes when you can have
Air Max 360! I love it I love it I love it!!! I will forever run with it until it's fully depreciated. :D :D Now I won't have blisters running on the treadmill no more! Thank you my darlings so much!!! Love you so much muah muah! For once Arjun and Shawn, I will not cringe at your attempt to hint to me that I need to work out more. Hehe.

| Happy Birthday Msia! |
So this is my sorta tribute to Malaysia. Happy 51st! May you be strong and ever growing. Our future depends on you. Really.
Oh and do you know that there was an official merdeka countdown in melbourne and guess where it was held?
In CQ, A CLUB!!! I took it from the fb event page. Explains why this picture is so pathetic and grainy.
It was hosted by MTV Asia, highlights include popular DJ's, there were a few guest appearances all the way from Malaysia.
I quote the event page: ''Where else do you find entertainment as international yet as local...''
Indeed.
That's what I call liberalization. |

| Gung Ho! |
Today I feel soooo...productive. Wee~!
Woke up at 9am because I had work at the ANU Open Day, as Campus Tour Guide. When I told this to friends there weren't much varied comments, most are along the lines of ''Good, best job for you W, you get to talk to random strangers, and they won't answer you back, you are right, they won't know you are wrong if you are wrong, your favourite'' T.T
Anyway, I have met up with some pretty interesting people as I was guiding the tour. Hopefully I get to meet some of them again when they arrive here next year. =)
Another productive part is though it seems boring to walk on the same path 4 times in 4 hours, talking about your experience for x4, plus both pinky toes grew really sore afterwards due to my utmost vanity to wear boots instead of walking shoes (yes there was a period of dreadfulness) overall I kinda liked it. In fact, I thought I did a great job at the end (yay, I might get a permament casual work for this woot), plus! All that walking ought to make my butt a wee bit tight wakakaka! XD

As you can see, I was using phone camera at the time. Lol.
I pulled myself to go to Supabarn did some groceries shopping as well after dinner.
Then I studied the whole of micro 2, postread ifm and did tutorials. Well, of course in between those times, I did drool on the table for a total 30 minutes. NEVERTHELESS, *pats on the back right right?? So glad that I decided to reward myself with 2 small chocolate blocks. I deserved it right rightt??
Highlight of the day...
guesswho? XD |

| Spring, the season of running. |
As spring time comes, flowers start to bloom, weather starts to get less sucky, an overall cheerier atmosphere is felt and more runners. In parks, along the roadside etc. Now before I get a bit lame, I will get to my point (I realised early that my introduction is stupid so move along...)
When spring arrives, another running phenomena happens. The pungest smell of elections lurks in, so are people's determination to strip off their fears and heed their ambitions to be something and someone else, of authority, to make a bold change in their lives, to hope to make a stark difference to the organizations they are representing.
Thank ANUSA for initialling this trend. Ever since, people have started campaigning for their various positions in hopes to increase votes. Some have already written and practiced their speeches.
There is a competitive streak in humans that possesses us to stand up and be someone better, to be someone known, someone of authority. Sometimes this competitive nature affects us more in a sense that you may not really want to do something, but since everybody else is doing it, you are afraid of losing out. We see our friends running for a certain position, you cannot help but think if you should consider following as well. I won't deny that I was one of those people when I was younger. Having an early exposure to organize events meant that I was better than others, I was stronger and I was much talented. And when other people would like to follow suit, I couldn't help but shrieked at the idea, I wanted to be the best, and no one else can top me. I was a control freak.
But as I grow up, I realized that you cannot always take control, and having other people doing what they do best is part of the learning process. Part of growing up. Of growing mature. Now my alter ego is myself, the only person I cannot fail is myself. The only person I cannot lose is myself.
So yes, I certainly love the smell of elections. I love to hear my friends wanting to do something out of the box, coming out of their shells. It is a whole different learning experience that everyone should go through once in their lifetime. Yes of course studying is the main priority and the main reason you are here in Australia, therefore one must be able to juggle between work studies and play. And of course again, one must be committed when given the positions. If not then whatever I am saying about experience is rather irrelevant.
I am proud to know that my dear friend, Amanda, who weren't given the opportunity and the exposure to participate in these organizations in her schooling years, is coming out to run for MSO Vice Presidency. I am happy that Arjun has stepped up to pursue for MASCA Presidency. I am delighted to know that Wei Ling and Mel are interested in running for ISD as well as MASCA.
And for those who wish I'd stop taking up these responsibilities (*ehem. I will be running for MASCA Vice Presidency), who think I should give all these a rest, sorry to burst your bubble. I never give up, I never stop working. I quote Eu Gene ''I am a fighter, it is very hard to beat someone who never gives up''.
This is very true.
So may all the elections begin and good luck! =)) |

| Your body is like a vacuum. |
OMG. I hit the big 6-0. Though, my measurement device costs 10 bucks and is usually cuckoo.
Still, my lifetime achievement ever.
Seriously.
And I was 55 during IB night.
That makes 5 extras in less than a month.
Now I know the real cause of my jeans being tighter, and all these while I blamed it on the new detergen I've bought just weeks ago. Gah.
Now I know why I haven't had the eagerness to wear tights.
Now I know that I should starting gyming all over again. To get back to the initials.
Sigh. Depressing.
Sometimes I'd like to stop complaining about this, and be all appreciative with what I have, but this is the only issue I cannot cut some slack in. Tit for tat really. A little cheese cake tonight would result in a half cm increase in my thighs the next morning. If only it happens to my boobs, I'd be so thankful.
I am not saying that big sized = no good, I sincerely believe that bold is beautiful, and voluptuous people are heavenly. But there is a certain degree of absorbion power a body can have. And how volatile (she's studying finance so yeah) can the body be given the varying inputs. More chocolate cake, cheese, etc. You get the gist. Mine is just bloody mind-blowing that it basically sucks in every food I eat!
So yes, I have now a resolution. Starting from now, tonight.
Goodbye to chocolate bavarian and brownies and hello to salads and fruits.
Boohoo. =( |

| Revival |
I am so delighted to know that people are still checking out my blog for possible updates.
So this is myy solemn apology for the lack of it. And I'm trying very hard to squeeze some rusted brain juices to present some decent writing. And it seems that there is some hope of this happening. *opens mouth*
This week, I really felt like there is nothing to do and nothing to look forward to anymore! OMG! I'm serious! My August season is over, I'm going to step down from ISD and MSO soon, but I don't want all these to end just yet. I still miss sweating it out organizing events, performing and just being out there. You can say that I love having control, because I feed on them as happiness. I derive joy by having to rush for something, I seek thrills in the excitement of it all. I believe that these things make me feel so...alive, so vibrant, so youthful. Which will diminish slowly by age (oops I said that out loud), and I wanna grab as many opportunities as I can. I am a fat greedy pig that feeds on work. But sadly not academic work. HAHA.
So yes, what is my next direction? Hmm, only time will tell. Till then, I am just waiting for something to happen. Hah.
***
I am SO going to miss my dear colleagues from MSO and ISD. *shrugs. Let's be committee forever and ever okay?

In my life, there are a few things I did not regret doing (yes, she's an optimist after all). One was to join ISD and MSO in the same year, which seemed an insane idea at first, but now when I think back, it is all worth it. =)

| Long awaited. |
Hey guys. It has been a WHILE indeed.
Hehe. Updates? Well go check my fb profile. I think you'll discover more things there. Hehe.
Well just to fill you in on the details of my life thus far:
1. I'm turning twenty in 3 days! And no, I'm not succumbed to putting twenteen. It's time to grow up. =) 2. My heart got broken in May, but it's okay, I still hope for the best. :D 3. I saw/touched/ate snow for the first time two weeks ago! Bliss! 4. I watched so you think you can dance aussie tour! 5. I went to Gold Coast last holiday, gulped in my nervousness and sat on some extreme rides. And cried after that of coz. I'm a sissy when it comes to thrill rides you see. 6. My team and I won Silver for Frisbee in the MASCA games! 7. Organized International Ball and choreographed dance for ISD. Weee~!! And I love ISD people. Period. 8. Sang too many times on stage, that I feel people are actually sick of hearing me sing. Sigh. Sorry people I'm inconsiderate. 9. Love studying. And you should realize that there is no truth in that statement. Hah, just something to motivate myself. 10. Drowned with a 40% Survivals Mid Semester, and also another 40% of research report for Corporate Finance. 11. Got all rejections for internship applications to Australian companies. haha. Stupiddd. 12. I love my life the pace I'm at and I love my dear friends. They make me very happy =D
I really wanna update more often but I believe my reader base is no longer there. haha. And I dislike my blog layout now. People are remembering me for the three legs (which are not mine) than the contents of my blog!! gah.
So yeah, don't have high hopes of me updating this blog too often, and wait patiently till I get back to Msia where internet is free and there are more things to blog about. haha.
Till next time...=) |
