| Ip Man is so awesome. |
For me best movie of 2008. I am so serious. I thought I could just go on and on about this but I shall not. Because I rather you watch it yourselves. And be awed.
And I like to think that I am good at reviewing movies.
I cried. With sadness and with honour that such man have lived and have past. And never been so proud of being yellow skinned.
I was shaken. By the struggle. The hardship. He is the epitome of hope and prayer, of something to hold on to.
It is so good that I told Lyon I would watch it with him again after he is back from Singapore.
Enough reasons to go watch now?
Go go go!!! Let me know what you think. :) |

| New blog template? |
| I spent the whole night yesterday trying to create my very own template. But it's seriously quite difficult with all the html to deal with. =S
So it is under construction atm. Hopefully will be done before I go back to Canberra. :)
On another note, I like the fact that I get to control my weekends and what I do with it, because weekdays are totally out of my grasp!
Later, Chua's housewarming. Then tomorrow outing with the girls (and boys). Wednesday NYE. Thinking of going to Space. Still deciding about that. Thursday Ladies Night with Sarah. Should I or shouldn't I? Friday missing Naomi's dinner party cuz have intern party @ Jerome's. Probably hit the afterpartyy instead. ;P Saturday lunch at Solaris with Mich then dinner with family friends. HAH. This week is going to be freaking hectic.
I'll try to update with pictures and captions (like I used to), but I don't know. I rarely take pictures at everything right now. And rather lazy to blog about it. Hmmmss.
Fellow interns asked me to organize a clubbing night because in their words: they know I'm the clubbing type. LOL. disclaimer, so not a party girl man. retired already. more so, wasn't my prime the other night. well maybe its cuz I wasn't really feeling it that night, music wasn't as hot.
Oh updates about my knee. It's getting better. Thank goodness. There is no constant pain. Have visited the senseh twice and he said it will fully recover in a couple of days. Weeeeeeeee~!
And updates about work. I've been busy assisting since most people in the office weren't around. And I got to do a teleconference call myself with another department. Sadly it was so impromptu, I wasn't prepared and I think I babbled. A lot. >.<>
And I watched Yes Man last Friday! Was sooo funnnyyy!! And quirky. But looking at Jim Carrey with the 20-something girl, I find it quite sick. LOL. He has wrinkles and the girl is like my age. Ew. A bit off lah the casting and the chemistry part. but Jim was funny as ever.
Then after the movie, I got into a very interesting situation where my driving skills were tested. You know how you have to autopay before leaving the shopping malls? I was parking at level 5 in OU and I assumed there were going to be an autopay station at lower levels and decided to drive down. Manatau it was a one way drive, I was caught at the exit and I couldn't get out. So I have to reserve out reserve in to let other cars pass. Long story short, I was fking scared the whole time. I was afraid I would hit other cars. But thank goodness we paid and we left. Horrible experience. But a good test to my rather rusty driving skills.
Well that's it for me now. Taaa! :)

all dressed up! See the dress that could possibly get me arrested. Haha. Worth it right? =P Janet's mum's Pan Cafe @ Petaling Jaya 8, at Assunta that area. The set lunch here is worth it! RM9.90 for soup, main, ice lemon tea and jelly. :) Interns. well there are more of us that this, 15 of us in total. :) |

| Happy Xmas. |
There were mixed plans on how I was going to celebrate Xmas eve. At first, my chef pal Kenny was supposed to prepare a wholesome dindin, but he couldn't cook at his place that lacks equipment and my house is pretty much out of bounds. That plan got canceled. The family wanted to go out for a movie, but ALL movies were fully booked. And I only got to know this after canceling plans to celebrate Xmas eve with Wei Ling and co. =/ Then my mom thought we should go to various hotels to eat buffet, but we ALL know its too expensive at the moment. =/ At the end of the day my family had to resort to going to Sentuh for a cheap and nice Chinese meal. After that, my dad showed us his 5th baby - the newly built highway. We felt like kings of the world since he was driving in the opposite side of the road. Was good fun. HAHAHAHA. Came back home then felt so lazy to go to the Curve. To join in the humansweatfair. Haha. Well at least I had that experience already last year =) So stayed at home. and watched TV.
Then just now I wanted to get pressie for my childhood bestie, Sarah's birthday party later, but by looking at the number of cars going to OU, I redirected to the Curve instead. Then after I've gotten the pressie, I went window shopping with Lyon then saw this dress that was displayed in one of those small display shops in the middle of the mall walkway. It was red, black and white striped and was RM60. I bargained with the guy because my budget for dresses like this is usually RM50 and below, so he agreed. And the dude was so kind, he allowed me to try the dress on, though there wasn't any dressing rooms nearby. I had to go to the far end toilet to do so. I initiated a payment however he looked at us and said: ''nono, you can go try the dress first and see if it fits then later come back and pay me if you like it.'' Did you see what's happening here?
He meant that I could actually bring the dress AWAY from his shop, walk about 2 minutes to the nearest toilet, try it on, then come back with the dress later. if it doesn't fit, then I can change to something else. OMG right? Never before such owner would be so trusting lor. Well maybe I had the trusting look. Wakakka.
So anyway, that's what I did. I told Lyon to stay with him. I mean for my own conscience lah. I didn't want the guy to think that we are not trustable right? I brought the dress to the toilet, still with the hanger on, and I could see many people staring and pointing, as if I stole that dress!!! Either way, I knew what I was doing, definitely not stealing, so I ignored them. I changed it, then I came out to look at the mirror and everyone was still looking suspicious like I was some kind of a thief. I shrugged them off. I was satisfied with the dress so I waited for my turn to go into the cubicle and changed back. Took the dress back to the shop and paid the dude RM50.
After that, I met up with my brother Mark who was at somewhere else. He was like telling me that there was this commotion in the same toilet I used, there were security guards everywhere and he overheard a couple walking by saying: ''Did you see that?'' ''Yeah I did.'' Suddenly I thought, did someone reported me for theft or something? We were sitting at Juice Works and there were several policemen passing by. I was so extremely scared at that point. What if they really came to arrest me or something? I was pretty noticeable with my bandage being exposed to the world... They must recognise me! So I did my best to appear calm.. then they moved along to their own matters. Lyon and my bro said I was overreacting, but how couldn't I? The shopkeeper didn't give me the receipt (since it was a small shop) and he might lie afterwards saying I stole it or something! You never know human beings. But thank goodness I wasn't stopped by any guard so I whisked away doing my own business and I left the Curve afterwards. Phew. Maybe they WERE looking for me.. but yeah I wouldn't know now....All I know is I am innocent and I am not a thief. If not I wouldn't be blogging about this would I?
Merry Christmas everyone. :)
P.S I'll be wearing the dress to the party later. HAH. |

| Randoms. |
Okay. Just randoms.
finally saw a chinese senseh for THE knee this evening. yes yes. it still creaks. so yeah bandaged for at least 2/3 weeks? >.< aiyoh the thing about western vs eastern. one asks me to do light exercise, one says walk less. I dunno what to do now lorrr! but i cant wait to FINALLY recover. I got tons of things to do. badminton for sc, clubbing, dance comps, gymming... gahhhhh it sucks lah. restricting movement. and im getting really bottom heavy due to internship. just sitting in the office doing office jobs. Walauu.
hmmms the angle made my calf looked like a yummy juicy fat chicken drumstick.

:):):):):):) it's handdrawn by Ean for his art project. I'm sooo touched lah seriously to get to be his ''model''. said it took him 6 hours. OMGGGG!!! I'm not keeping the pic cuz its part of his portfolio. So i only got a picture. and like the ori pic was taken by Lyon after my 1st haircut from canberra. And you can see his reflection in my sunnies. and the details are amazing! Clickie here for the ori pic. I personally think he made my chin sharper in a good way. I always had a rather wide chin. hehe. Once again, thanks Ean so so so so muchh! :)

| Guess who... |
| is going to the Pussycat Dolls concert on the Saturday 23rd May???
ME ME ME. :)
This is so going to be my first gig EVER.
Though a bit mafan coz need to travel to Sydney, I am sure it is going to be so worth it. :):):)
Oh and my computer is alive again!!! Software problem. Luckily, the IT dude Mr. Cheah helped me to retrieve two things which are important to me at this moment before he reformated everything. My intern presentation draft which was 80% done with all the graphs made painstakely and my 2008 pictures. I know I am very careless in not backing them up but I will this time.
Today has been good to me so far. The Christmas tree is finally up. Tomorrow it is just going to be a lazy day, and making tong yuan!
Oh oh! And Lyon promised me he would make a nice personalized blog layout for me. So hopefully can finish asap. I think a more personalized one would definitely encourage me to blog more often haha. :) |

| I know I haven't been updating... |
Pool Partayy was not a pool partay. Cuz I didn't get wet!!! It was raining so I didn't dare to jump into the pool..instead we played charades and pictionary. But we had the usual. Steamboat and sinful Korean BBQ, evergreen guitar playing and singalong, and endless gossiping heh. Was awesome fun. :) On Monday night, my comp suffered from the blue screen of death. Fcuk. So had to be repaired. And my SC presentation was inside and wasn't saved anywhere else. Double fcuk. Today he will tell us the verdict of the whole situation. On Wednesday, Len got her results. And I am very proud of her, all the hard work has been paid off. So, it is official, she is heading to ANU! Woott! Chua sisters babyy! We're so going to rock Mooseheads with our energy combined. Wakakakkakakaka!! Jogoya on Thursday. It was nicee lah, but I still prefer Eyuzu. Due to the fact that it is the last day of the promotion, it was packed and everyone super kiasu, scrambling for food. And it was super messy lah. The food overall is nice, though I still prefer Eyuzu's spread of sashimi. Fresher leh.
look at the people queuing up..
this coconut is heavenly! no wonder my intern friend said he drank 9 coconuts when he was there. HAHA.
Then on Friday, fellow interns suggested we go Sugimoto for lunch. Which is a jap place. Haha. So yes, I ate jap lunch after Jogoya. The set was worth it. Cuz you get to choose 2 sides (I chose Unagi for both =P), and the set also comes with salad, fruits, cawanmushi, garlic rice and miso soup. For RM14. Super worth it lor! Somemore in Desa Hartamas, notorious for expensive food. Then at night, it was the PBSM (or rather BSMM) Reunion at my place. And all the seniors of the seniors were invited. I guess it is only apt to have it in my space because I was the Section Leader in my year, my sis was the President in her year and now my bro is the President. And my youngest bro is in the society as well (secretly eyeing on the presidential post), so yeah, long standing history. HAHA. And my batch happened to be the oldest senior in my bro's batch. Seriously couldn't recognise some of the faces; it has been 3 years...and i felt so old!! LOL.
Almost 40 people showed up bringing food since it is afterall a potluck. :)
Mark's batch doing a sketch for everyone.

Committee 04/05. The twins came afterwards. XD
Haha. innovative limbo!
Then Euphoria!
 Lynn's missing! =(
but nvm can have two at the meantime.
hahaa inside joke this one. =P
:) I am like showing Sern my biceps LOL. Updates about work. Though it is boring at times, but I really learnt so much over the 3 weeks. Things which cannot be specified here though. Confidentiality. Heh. The intern group is getting bigger and bigger, and it is so fun to have endless conversations with people you just met. :) and we are having an out-of-office gathering on the 2nd jan. Oh and SC is having a friendly with Bank Negara on the 16th and 17th Jan, and I am scheduled to represent SC for badminton women's double. O.O Omggg. Pressure. And I haven't played in a while...>.< |

| Couplingg. |
Gene came. Weee~! And we had a quadruple date at RedBox...On weekends, Redbox damn ripped off lah. Shesh. But working already, only have the chance to hang out on weekends. Hah.
After that, I had a good family dinner at the Lake Club. So long haven't been there and the lamb chop still is as good as ever.
Tomorrow is the long awaited pool partyy.
Seriously, holidays suck when you have to work. Next year I must plan my holidays nicely already. Before graduation go NZ. Then my whole family would most likely be attending the convocation. Probably travel around Aussie with them. Then when I am done with Aussie, I want to go Mauritius. Yes Didier, I soo wanna plan one trip already, like RIGHT NOW. The beaches. And the hunks. Heh. Omggg. So awesomee lah. I always love the beachside. I love the sun, the sand, the bikinis, sailing, banana boat. LOVE IT. In fact I wanna live in a beachhouse for the rest of my life. I know some people want to live on the hills, but not for me haha. I think I rather have tsunami than landslide. Get it? ;P I want to have my honeymoon in Bora Bora. Heheh. I know. So early go plan already. But yeah, it's like the top of my list lorr for places to go for a romantic getaway.
Okay back to the point. Holidays. I am in dire need of one. Might pop by Singapore for a few days in end of December. Lyon might visit his bro and I might just tag along. I got close relatives and awesome friends to visit and I might as well finally get a new phone while I'm there. Heh. But SC only gives 2 days of leave allowance. Very precious, so yeah consider first lah.
And I want to go Miri again as well. But don't think got much chance already in this holiday. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.

| Ding Ding Dong Dong |
So... a little update. Nothing much has been happening since my parents' anni. Except that my colleague actually let me to prepare one whole report myself this afternoon! The one they sent to the SC Chairman 3.30pm everyday in regards to the current market situation. weee~! Of coz she had to proof read lah, but still. :)
Haha so lame right, I'm sure you will say, report..so what? Eh, seriously lor it's quite chun okay? I feel like a working woman. Actually contributing to the corporation. Heh.
And ooo I enjoy hanging out with my fellow interns. They are all so interesting in their own way. And we make quite a good lunch gang. Hehe. Lunchtime is our lifesaver lah after sitting in the office for hours. Feeling lethargic and all.
And congrats to all my friends who have graduated! I can't wait for my turn. Actually people have been asking me about my plans after graduation. I have contemplated furthering my studies but I feel that studying is so not right for me. I guess I have become more of a practical person, assignments I do fine, but exams? I suck badly. =/
Okay another randoms adding to my other randomness. It's the weekend!!! :) :) :)

I know I've said this thousand times, but the world is seriouslyyy soooo teeny tiny. Which is nice. Lunch gang grows bigger and bigger. Yayy! Tomorrow Yong Jian, fellow ANUer will start work there as well. :) Then my mommy made kaya which is soo good. Well the texture a bit hard lah but the taste is so niceee! I likee. :) Something to look forward to, thank goodness still got wee bit of fun other than internship. Gene is coming up to KL on saturday. Twin's birthday party this sunday. Woot woot. And jogoya next thursday. finally. the other time didn't go because it was fully booked and was raining in kl. so went to sakae sushi instead. which sucked. =/ Then Sarah's awesomeee 20th birthdayy on Christmas night. And many many more slot in between.
I want to go MOS againn!!!!!!! And didier is leaving KL tomorrow =S. Sorry man didn't have chance to meet up. Working. But hope you enjoyed yourself in KL! And upload all the niceeee pictures asap! :) |

Not mine lah. Hah.
PS. I love Eyuzu lah. I attacked so much of the salmon and unagi until I so freaking full. Poor guy had to refill each time. Hah. And like it's so freaking worth it okayy? Cuz like we had 20% off gross bill, and total bill is likee eating at Sakae Sushi! Awesomeee!
Anywayy, I am so lazy to post up the food pictures lah. But trust me it's very awesome lorr.
Before that. Pavilion. And Omfg. Parking was RM15! I couldn't believe my eyes weii. @.@ Nevertheless it was a fun time hanging out with peeps.
Loveybirds.
To err is human, to arr is pirate. Haha. So funny lah Sern's T.
DragonI's durian pancake. Usually I won't eat durian during outings cuz I don't wanna stink afterwards, but the smell was too good to resist and the taste was worth the stench!!!!
Eh seriously lor. At the rate I am going, I am soo going to hit overweight in no time. Die. =/

| Yayyy! I finally gymed. 1st time in 2 months. Walau. But have to lah. Doctor's orders.
And I watched Bolt with Lyon and my youngest bro James. So cuttee lah and yes it made me cry. So touching. I am a sucker lor for these sucker moments.
Oh and you know how australian national television does not have australia's next top model? I finally got my fix watching AusNTM cycle 3 on Channel V. Haha. But shucks! I wanted Steph H to win.....>.<
Haha I googled but I can't find a bigger picture of this. Omg. She's so beautiful lah. If you ask me who has the most flawless face I've seen, it would be hers. Only 16 leh! Bright bright future ahead of her.
Guess what. It's my daddy and mummy's 22nd anniversary!!! And yes, we will be celebrating in style later tonight. What else but jap buffet. This time eyuzu at eastin. Heheh. Seriously my whole family fans of jap food.
Going out with Oui to Pavilion later in the morning. Haha. I wanna get my bubble tea fix there as well! I like the weekends. So precious and I appreciate them so much more. =)

| Thing thing. |
Hehe. I am at work. Lunch hour. was supposed to go out with fellow interns for lunch, then my boss said he is treating the whole department lunch so I gave up my lunch with them. Lunch ended early so here I am, having an hour break and surfing the net. :) Thank goodness SC does not have firewall on facebook blogger and all. weeee~!
I got sooo much to blog about!! Especially something happening later. Which is so cool (well at least for me) but it is confidential. Company rules and I DO wanna consider working here once I graduate. That is if I don't get PR...
The whole of SC only 5 interns this year. T.T So 5 of us usually hang out together for lunch. Good lah, not as boring lah. Unlike poor Lyon, only intern in Jalan Tun Perak. >.<
On Wednesday I finally got my desktop and a phone! And I love using the Bloomberg, Reuters station thingamagic. There is also this real time Bursa and Impromptu program...OMGG it's soo freaking cool lah. I seriously don't mind doing this everyday lor! But not very challenging lah. Very unlike me. I just finished this assignment from my boss, now moving on to researching for my presentation. Every intern is supposed to present something relevant to their department at the end of their internship. And I was assigned to do a market prediction for 2009. With all the references from research reports and what not. Quite interesting. Hehe. So I better get cracking! Also my colleagues are really really nice bunch of people and surprisingly the whole department is filled with actuarial people. SC believes that actuarial people are good for this department I suppose. Hah!
On Wed night we went out to meet my dad's Canadian friend Uncle Bill. He's sooo interesting lah. Well since we were having dinner @ Pantai Seafood, which is veryyy good btw, so he started to tell stories about him catching crabs and salmon with his bare hands. And he brought us these smoked salmon as gifts, and he did the catching, his wife did the smoking and all. Then air flown 10000km to Kuala Lumpur. Sweetttttt!
Yesterday was Wei Wen's 20th birthday bash. Awesomee party with laughter, (our team sucked at pictionary) and best of all, a gathering of great friends to last a lifetime. :) Will blog about this soon and with pictures!
And omgg I've got 3 days holidays soonnnnn, longggg awaited. Have been waking up likee 7am every morning and sleeping at 12am every night. I think I deserve some good late nights. :) |

| Byee holidays |
Today marks so many things.
First day of internship. Boring. Sial. Cuz no computer means no work to do means reading loads of documents. But I have a nice mentor and colleagues. And met up with fellow interns who have mutual friends. The world is seriously so small.
Cannot believe my holidays just ended likeeee THAT!
Also, the boys are going back home. Seriously miss the good fun filled weekend of eating, talking and laughing (at Jon) nonstop. Haha. Hope you guys enjoyed your holidays thoroughly. And please please upload the car video we all love. =)
Oh and results. Okay okay lor. Distinction average. But gah. Bloody pass for survivals. I was on a disadvantage from the start anyway. So no exemption for stochastic-survival. Ish. I think I am slowly giving up my actuarial ambition since I suck at every statistic subject possible.
Having mixed feelings now. Confused. Tired. Frustrated. Don't know what to feel actually. |
